    Notes for this chapter

      Pocket cheat sheet

Everything the video covers, on one screen.

      The clock

      5:00AEC WINDOW

Auto-EVAC Cancel is pressed only at the CACF. If nobody presses it, Stage 2 starts by itself.

      Radio

      • Ch 1 Emergency: everyone
      • Ch 2 Engineering: Surveillance calls you here
      • Switch to Ch 1 after the dispatch
      • Only Surveillance, Security, MOD / Front Office and engineers transmit

      Your sequence

      • Copy the call, go to the location
      • Find the detector flashing red
      • Read the area, report the cause
      • Make it safe, report it clear
      • Stay until the fire department is done

      Casino floors

The CACF shows only the floor. Go to the pre-action room (about 2 min to Level 2, about 4 min to Level 3), acknowledge there, find the device, clear it, reset the pre-action panel, then call for FD approval.

      Who resets the main panel

The MOD, at the CACF, with the fire department witnessing. The FD Officer in Command is the only authority. The main panel will not reset until the pre-action panel is clear.

      CODE RED

"CODE RED, CODE RED", then location, detector and conditions. MOD pulls Stage 2. Stay clear of the fire. Security guides the fire department.

      After Stage 2

      • Shutters will not retract while the panel is in alarm
      • Wait for the reset and for the system to clear
      • JW: bell storage key, 2 shutters
      • Douglas: key beside the ATMs near the gate, 1 shutter
      • Level 1 loading bay: lower priority
      • Kitchen gas: reset last

      Never

      • Wait for AEC Cancel before going
      • Reset the main panel yourself
      • Order an evacuation without a fire
      • Ask the FD to stand down
      • Shut off the floor's air handler
